Breakfasts
Breakfasts vary tremendously in quality around the world. We've had some great ones, and some pretty atrocious ones too! We thought it would be fun to put together a photo gallery of some of the ones we've had.

This rather mean little breakfast came from the Fortescue Arms Hotel in Woolacombe, Devon:
- One rasher of very salty bacon
- One cheap and nasty sausage
- Some sliced fried economy mushrooms
- One fried egg – no choice about how the eggs should be done
- And some beans
- We eventually got toast after we'd spent ages waiting to ask someone for it, then for them to make it, then for them to bring butter...

Compared to the Fortescue Arms, the Wheelhouse Snack Bar in Minehead, Somerset offered manna from heaven:
- Two rashers
- Two nice sausages
- Fried egg
- Half a grilled tomato
- Tasty mushrooms
- Hash brown
- Toast and butter and a cuppa. All for a very reasonable £3.95.

Molly Malone's in Bar Street, Siem Reap, Cambodia offers a great breakfast at reasonable prices. We've had their Mega Fry a few times and enjoyed it every time!
- Plenty of bacon
- Two meaty sausages
- Two fried eggs
- Fried tomato
- Decent baked beans
- Three half-slices of toast
- Orange juice
- Tea or coffee. (The tea comes with just the one teabag in the pot, but they'll happily give you another if you ask for it.)

By contrast, the Koala Bar just round the corner from Molly's offers one of the oddest attempts at an "English" breakfast we've ever seen. The main part of it is pretty nondescript, although they overdo the fried eggs...
...but that's nothing compared with what they do to "scramble" the eggs. These were more like some kind of weird stir-fry!
Perhaps we should have got an inkling that something was wrong when they brought out baguette instead of toast, accompanied by chips (instead of the fried potatoes we were expecting with the main meal). We sent back the baguette and asked for toast instead...
...and this is what we got – four half-slices of white bread that had clearly been nowhere near a toaster.
