"Buzkashi (which translates as 'goat-grabbing') is not for the faint-hearted. It's reckoned to be the sport from which polo originated, but I don't think you'd find Prince Charles riding round swinging a goat carcass before retiring for tea and cucumber sandwiches on the verandah.
"It was quite an effort to get this photo - partly because of the frantic speed the game's played at, but mostly because of the risk of being trampled - spectators do get killed from time to time!"
