"Well, we were in KL on holiday, had no business materials with us, and no smart clothes. But we decided to go and have a look anyway, as we're always interested in expat-related things. It was well worth while. This was the first Expat Expo organised by The Expat, but the general consensus seemed to be that people hoped it would become an annual event." Kay reviews the first – and highly successful – Expat Expo, held in Kuala Lumpur in September 2007.

"Whilst most of the recipes are quick and easy, there are also enough challenges to whet the appetite of the more adventurous cook. 'Nothing wrong with a little showing off, we say.' Having bought a few issues, and liking the magazine well enough, I decided to subscribe a few months ago. I've not been disappointed – most of the time."
