Drink!!!

London pubs - Just for nostalgia's sake you might like to browse around London's pubs. Check out www.pubs.com - it's pretty good.

Be careful you don't go to www.pub.com by mistake because all you'll find there is a "community minded guy" who's not interested in selling the domain. (I deliberately broke the above link. If you want to see this, you'll have to DIY.)

www.camra.org.uk is CAMRA's official website. They have a good pub guide, so if you're planning a visit to Blighty soon, you might like to have a look. CAMRA are also currently campaigning for legislation to ensure that pubs are forced to serve a full pint - at present they're allowed to serve just 95% of a pint, though they're supposed to top it up on demand, and some of them serve even less. Why not sign their online petition?

Having a party? www.idrink.com offer a great free service. You type in all the ingredients you have and they suggest cocktail recipes for you. They hold your info so you can reuse the site without the need to retype. Highly recommended!

www.drinks101.com for more cocktails.

www.realbeer.com is an international real beer site.

World of the strange...

www.phonebashing.com  Ever felt irritated by mobile phones? Then you'll like this site. I'm not sure if this is a wind up as given that it must be illegal to attack people and destroy their property, it's pretty daft to tell the world about it on the Web. Still, it is an interesting site.

www.dumblaws.com has a whole list of daft laws. I'm taking what they say with a pinch of salt but it's fun anyway. Here's a small selection from their site:

  • Thailand - it is illegal to leave your house if you are not wearing underwear.

  • Scotland - it is illegal to be drunk in possession of a cow.

  • Switzerland - a man may not relieve himself while standing up, after 10pm.

  • Singapore - you may not walk around naked while in your home. It is considered to be pornographic.

death clock How long have you got left?  Check out the death clock. It's a bit of weird fun but, like many of this type of sites, I find the feedback from fanatics almost as interesting as the thing itself. Thanks to David Stock for sending in this suggestion.

Feeling cheerful? Ready to take on the world? Don't worry, it's curable. Try www.demotivate.com for lots of fun demotivating things.

www.darwinawards.com is an interesting site which awards people for removing themselves from the gene pool. It's worth a look.

www.emotioneric.com is a site completely devoted to its owner portraying different emotions. This guy is so nutty you just have to laugh.
