Wanted to hear from people who have been living in Lagos to share your experience. I am a British ExPat living in LATAM at the moment (the past 7 years) and have an opportunity in Nigeria. I wanted to hear first hand experience from people living in the Victoria Island, Ikoyi and Lagos Island areas and how the living, working, social and political aspects of Nigeria have/are shaping your lives.

Are there a major concerns over Boko Haram in the Lagos area. What about the fears of Ebola, what is the state of the private health system, do people live in fear, or is it business as usual for most? How is the Ex-Pat community and how well do Ex-Pats live and socialize?

Looking for some insight into the environment and the city before I commit. Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
