British and Spanish Passport?

My partner and I have just had a baby. My partner's Spanish and I'm British. Will we be able to get a dual passport for our baby? And will the fact that we're not married cause any difficulties?

Ditto. I did look into nationality, we've registered both our children in Spain and they both have Spanish passports. I recall they can both claim English nationality should they want to when they are older, but for now it all just seems much simpler for them to be legally Spanish.

They can certainly claim British citizenship when they're older, at any time. However, if you want to give them the option of passing on their British citizenship to their children in turn, there are time limits for registering - and the child and both parents need to spend three years in the UK together.
