HSBC Gozo

No, really... it does!
But does it matter more in Malta than at home?

HSBC Gozo

HSBC Malta very kindly sent us application forms to join their bank via e-mail attachments. The lady who sent them said to return the completed paperwork for her attention to Valletta branch.

Will it matter at all if we live on Gozo, use HSBC on Gozo, but our account is held in Valletta? I have the address of Gozo branch, I could send the forms back to them instead, is there any point? I know in the UK it doesn't matter a jot, but I have lived elsewhere where it does.

Can anyone advise if it would be a problem?

Although it shouldn't make much difference, there is the prospect of extra hastle if you have to schlepp over there to sign forms or if you ever want to discuss any business with them. It would be silly to take the risk. Why not just e-mail the lady back and explain that you'd prefer to open the account in Victoria and can she please give you the e-mail address of the appopriate person.

Good thinking, she probably is on commission.
