If you are in Malta for more than half of a calendar year, you are supposed to fill in a tax return for Malta, even if little income and even if filled in a tax return in another country - however, as in your case you've 1. left and 2. it was such a small amount, I doubt they would be interested in the return anyway
Before I left Malta I was given an FS3 form for 2012 (when I was in Malta for over 6 months. Form included my salaries, NI contributions, paid tax, hours etc...) by the HR department (of my employer, Maltese company) and advised to visit the Floriana tax office. At least in my home country, one does not have to report transfers made by individual people to another, to anyone, for example when a mother transfers small amounts to a family member's account, as it is not income and only gifts exceeding 4K EUR are only needed to be informed to the tax authority for the calculation of gift tax. For instance, if you sell your old telly and receive money to your bank account for it
Went there (the Floriana office) and signed a document (it was the document that needed to be filled out before June 30th).. Didn't get FS3 for 2013 as there was a pending salary to be paid out to my Maltese account. Called the IRD some time ago, they said that I'm covered for 2012, however, they are going to send me a letter or something to be signed in regards of 2013, where I should also inform them about the duration of my stay in Malta (arrival and departure dates). I am not a native English speaker so the vocabulary in taxation is not too familiar to me
