Viruses

I appear to have three viruses on my computer that Avast is unable to remove. Can anyone help me? :cry:

I'm not very computer literate but this is the information I have from Avast:

C.\_RESTORE\TEMP\NAVSHE~1.0
When I try and move it to the 'chest', as instructed, access is denied and I get:)

Malware Name: Win32:Trojan-gen {other}
Malware Type: Virus/Worm

C.\RESTORE\TEMP\A0040957.CPY
Malware Name: Win32:Trojan-gen.{UPX!}
Malware Type: Virus/Worm

C.\RESTORE\TEMP\A0040958.CPY
Malware Name: Win32:Trojan-gen.{UPX!}
Malware Type: Virus/Worm

I'm running Windows ME.
Any help?

From the look of those paths, I think you could be safe. Have you ever had Norton Anti-Virus on that machine? The first one looks like it's in a norton quarantine directory. The other two have a non-executable extension (.cpy). I would try to manually delete these files using file browser or dos.

No, I haven't had a Norton Anti-Virus on this machine and I've tried searching for these files but I don't get a result. I'm afraid I'm not very computer literate so any help would be appreciated. My in-house computer expert is away at the moment. Very frustrating.
